On Thursday, former top athlete Dennis van der Geest and Goldea founder Lucinda Camera launched 'Goldea Sports'. This is a nutritional supplement line that is fully designed for use by athletes and initially consists of a fully plant-based protein shake and pre-workout shake. The launch took place in the Haarlem 'Kenamju', the renovated sports center of Van der Geest. “Just like our regular nutritional supplements, the new sports supplements consist entirely of natural ingredients,” explains Lucinda Camera. “The plant-based products do not contain any artificial additives, are environmentally friendly and are extremely suitable for vegan athletes.” The new supplements are already available in the flavors 'apple' and 'chocolate-banana', but Camera expects to be able to expand the number of flavors in the short term. “We also want to add new products to 'Goldea Sports', such as creatine, which provides your muscles with energy,” Camera looks ahead. Top judokaDennis van der Geest himself was a world-class judoka at the height of his abilities. He participated in the Olympic Games three times, won a bronze medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, became world champion in 2005 and won the European title in 2000 and 2002. “I know how important sports and good sports nutrition are for people,” says Van der Geest. “That is why I am so happy that we can open again and launch these wonderful products right away.” Van der Geest is referring to the fire that severely damaged his sports centre last November. 'Kenamju' – which includes a fitness centre, swimming pool and dojo and is located in the centre of Haarlem – recently reopened its doors after a thorough renovation. 'Goldea Sports' is now for sale in the various Van der Geest gyms. In addition, Goldea Health offers the new sports line on the website. |
